This audio project is a collaboration between Casa de Paz and the N1Mas Denver table at American Friends Service Committee. Through these audios, we hope you can hear a fraction of what our community members experience in ICE detention, as well as the voices of those directly impacted by immigration detention. While the 911 calls in this project are from the GEO Aurora ICE Detention Center in Colorado, these calls are a window to what is happening inside detention centers all across the country.
We thank you for bearing witness. We ask that you share this project with your community, you oppose the opening of detention centers while fighting to close those that exist, that you oppose all funding to DHS and CBP, and that you vote no on ballot measure 81 and any future laws that would feed your neighbor to this violence.
